Howdy all. I've been busy and haven't taken the time to check in here. I know there's been a lot of changes (always is when I go away for a bit), now to find what the changes are.
@matigo me too. If I do install it, I will probably wait for the second public beta. I don't have a dev account and while I want to use it, it's not worth paying for.
@ukhaiku haha. If it weren't for my work phone I wouldn't even be considering it.
@matigo the redesigned lock screen and widgets and additional uses for 3D Touch. I'm excited for the Siri API and iMesssge apps but that stuff really won't be that useful till the full public release and devs can start releasing updated apps. Lots of little stuff too, like third-party keyboards being able to use the pop-up keyboard picker, and possibly third-party keyboard dictation as well
I'm really tempted to do the public beta of iOS 10 on my 6s, which is my main device, even though I'm away from home a week at a time. The reason I'm considering doing it, is because of my work issued 5s which would give me a line of communication should something happen to my 6s on the road.
With iOS 10, third-party keyboards will be able to use the pop-up keyboard picker that the stock keyboards can use and possibly include speech recognition and dictation. I'm also hoping they will be able to include the 3D Touch trackpad. And that Apple fixed the hugs that made third-party keyboards a pain to use.
@indigo they didn't mention it during the keynote. http://arstechnica.com/apple/2016/06/digging-into-the-dev-documentation-for-apfs-apples-new-file-system/
