@gtwilson sounds like the weather in Raleigh the past few days. 3.5 straight days of below freezing temperature and it's supposed to be close to 60°F tomorrow.
@kdfrawg I bet. We're looking forward to the warmth as well. We're heading to Jacksonville, FL for vacation this weekend and it's supposed to be in the 70s (at least according to the 7-10 day forecast).
@kdfrawg not to mention that the lows the past couple of nights have gotten down into the single digits (about 9°F), which is rare for this part of NC.
@kdfrawg Sounds like the winter storm we got this past weekend. The forecast called for a lot of areas south of Raleigh to get 4-6 inches of snow, but most areas south of Raleigh didn't get 2 inches. The warm air stayed over the area longer than forecast, which cut down on the snow amounts.
One thing that has stuck around is the cold. Today is the first day since Saturday that the temperature is supposed to get above freezing. This was the longest below-freezing stretch of days central and eastern NC has had since 1996.
@kdfrawg case in point. Here's a picture departing Acapulco, Mexico on Monday.

@kdfrawg Sadly, like the majority of the time, we didn't get see anything besides what we saw flying in and the airport in Santa Rosa.

This is the second tour in a row where I've come out West to California. Last tour it was San Jose (spent the night) and Santa Rosa. This tour it's been Palm Springs (spent the night) and we're flying to Denver, Provo, Utah, and then back to Los Angeles (LAX) to spend the night. Well, that's the plan as of now. It could easily change. We were originally scheduled to do Denver-Salt Lake City-San Francisco.
